First Shots Fired

Today we fired the very first shots of our brand new game Shoot 'em up! It was only a early stage test but it went very well. The basic rules and structure worked beyond our expectations, a few changes were made and some extra rules and options were added but the overall game is nearly ready to play.

What we need to do now is to create a whole raft of characters, weapons and special rules that reflect our favourite movies and video games, the tricky part will be how to avoid one side from becoming to strong or weak and dominating the game, and of course finding the time.

For our test game we used rules for Marcus and Dom from the Gears of War franchise, we used the grenades and and chainsaw gun that feature heavily in the games. We played first to 3 kills and after a dynamic game it finished 3-1 to Dom
