Shiny and New!
Today we received a package.
It was the Warhammer Quest bundle featuring both the Silver Tower set and the new Shadows Over Hammerhal game. We have dabbled in the original Warhammer Quest and even adapted it to fit in with our own collection of LOTR models so we have been eager to try the new game since it was released last year. Finally the time has arrived.
While we had a spare couple of hours we put together the models from the Silver Tower set and had a very quick tester game to see how the rules work. Putting together the 51 miniatures took a pair of us about 2 hours, most of them were pretty simple to assemble but some of the more complicated ones were quite awkward. All the mini's look fantastic but the heroes look particularly great.
Our test game was interesting, we got to grips with the basic rules pretty easily and look forward to introducing some more advanced rules as we go along. We got through three rooms before we were brutally cut down by some Tzaangors.
We look forward to playing some more games and painting the miniatures. That's all for now folks.
