Playtesting for The Wild Race
Hello again, another Wednesday, another Blog Post.
This week we have been looking through some of our old creations and we came across an old Scenario that had been used for a previous campaign. Some alterations later and we had a nice little stand alone minigame. So we thought why not post it?
Well why not, because it needs some work done to it first. We have been playing a lot of test games but we need some more opinions than just ours. We need to know how other people find the game. So we are looking for some beta testers.
The Wild Race is a mini-game. A game based on the idea of a group of riders racing through the wilderness, leaping over broken walls, forcing other riders into deadly crashes, all in front of a huge crowd who are baying for blood as well as a race winner. This is the type of game that can be played in around half an hour but also can be made into a full afternoon worth of gaming. Two players are ideal however we have found that the game works for 3 or 4 players, maybe even more! We have tried to make it smooth and easy to learn but without being too simple. We have put quite a lot of time into making sure there is plenty of tactical choices and moves that can be made that keep the game interesting. We have also attempted to keep a strong random element that really builds on the risk and reward element of wargaming that we all know and love.
We are seeking some Beta testers, to play a couple of games of The Wild Race, All we are looking for is some feedback. How did you find the game? What was good? what was bad? what would you keep? what would you change? All feedback is good feedback!
